Introduction: The Amplatzer vascular plug is a self-expanding nitinol wire mesh embolization device developed for use in peripheral and cardiopulmonary vascular interventions. Its use in neurointervention is currently “off label”, with limited data published in the literature. We present our initial experience in the use of this vascular plug for major craniocervical parent artery occlusion in a small clinical series.
