Iatrogenic surgical or radiation injury resulting in carotid artery pseudoaneurysms are infrequent complications with an estimated incidence of 0.3–0.6%. The technical difficulty and morbidity associated with surgical treatment of these pseudoaneurysms in a hostile surgical or radiated neck makes an endovascular approach an attractive alternative.
