This retrospective cohort study used a single surgeon series over a 12 month time period to control for procedural confounding variables. The results indicated that ADAPT was associated with a superior outcome compared with the stentriever first technique. However, we wish to raise several comments regarding this study.In this study, although the patient characteristics were balanced between the two cohorts, there were still many uncontrolled factors, which reduced the effectiveness of the conclusions and even its reference.
