Dose readings for dose–area product (DAP) and estimated skin dose (ESD) are listed for the four basic imaging protocols described in table 1. Readings were acquired with an adult-sized Alderson Rando head phantom in the anteroposterior projection using a 22 cm field of view setting, a source–image distance of 100 cm, collimators fully open, and with the grid in place.
