Effect of grid removal on phantom DSA doses, pediatric protocol, anteroposterior plane, source–image distance 100 cm, 15 frames

Readings of DAP and ESD with and without the grid are tabulated for a pediatric protocol using DSA at a variety of magnifications, in which the only changing variable is insertion or removal of the grid. The results show a similar magnitude of dose reduction for DSA as those illustrated for fluoroscopy in table 3a. The impact of grid removal is similarly less substantial at higher magnifications (smaller FOV).
